Confirm the appointment
Agree an arrival window, expected duration and a contact person who can answer questions. Provide accurate directions and describe any gate, parking, delivery or building-access arrangements. Tell the provider about restrictions before equipment or staff are dispatched.
Resolve scope questions early
Keep the accepted quote available. Identify choices awaiting approval and explain who can authorise them. If the provider discovers work outside the agreed brief, request an explanation and a written variation before accepting the extra work.
Plan for disruption
Discuss which spaces, equipment or services will be unavailable and for how long. Arrange the household or business around the agreed plan. The provider should explain any site-specific precautions; this checklist does not replace their assessment.
Keep a starting record
Where appropriate, photograph the work area and note existing damage or missing items with the provider. Store the appointment details, agreed scope and relevant product information in one place so the completion check is straightforward.
